About me and who I am looking for :
I'm 23 but I have a very old soul. I live and work on a sustainable farm. I love getting my hands dirty and working for the land. I'm a DC transplant but wouldn't give up this view of the mountains for anything.
If I'm not farming, I'm baking. I love being in the kitchen. And I love food. And I actually enjoy having other cooks in the kitchen.
I love writing and literature. I am certified in chicken rangling, child rangling, and hoop house building. Winter is my favorite season, Fall being the next best. Which sounds crazy given I love farming but urban planting makes it work! I can make soap, jams and jellies, and awesome watercolor paintings. I want to explore more hiking trails in the area.
I'm looking for a guy that can make me smile, make me laugh, and sweep me off my feet in a non traditional way. Someone who thinks living in a yurt on this property would be kickass because circular living rocks! Someone to hold and be there when the going gets tough. Someone with opinions and passion. My life is...chaotic. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Because I work on a farm, almost all my work is labor intensive and involes me being outside. I am slowly becoming a cobbing queen; hats off to anyone that knows what cobbing is! I am fair minded and believe in peace and equality. I am a Friend. Which is the same as a Quaker. Im happy to discuss religion and politics with anyone but hate heated, emotion-based debates. Im a liberal hippie chick on a small farm, in a small town. I believe in shopping and buying local, encouraging sustainable and urban farming, and getting off the grid. My lifestyle is not for the weak of heart! Cos we are crazy out here. =]

I was raised by a spiritist and an atheist; I went to Catholic high school all four years. My background is one of diversity. I come from an extremely large extended family. I'm probably about as liberal and typical as they come. Im for same sex unions, a womans right to choose, firearm safety, bettering education, stopping tax breaks for the ultra wealthy, world peace, and an end to the death penalty. My family is pretty much the same way. I dont see that changing anytime soon.

My job is hard to define. The farm where I work is also where I live. I came here from the suburbs of Washington, DC a year ago to start a new life. I joined the WWOOF program and here I am. My work goes toward my room and board. So, technically, I don't make any money. I barter for goods and work occasional odd jobs for a bit of extra income. In the future, I plan on opening a cooperative bakery. Baking and writing are my two greatest passions. I also love farming, website design, and teaching workshops. My job is the sort where you learn a lot of different things about a lot of different things! I love it.
